The Bullitt County Public Library is a new 45,000 square foot central library with state of the art Mechanical and Electrical systems.
The buildings HVAC system incorporates a classical vertical bore geothermal water source heat pump system with wells reaching to 400’. The lighting system is full LED and consists of various decorative light fixtures and control schemes for different areas. The roof of the Bullitt County Library will house a 40,000 square foot solar array which will be integrated to a battery storage system. The battery storage system is optimized to store energy via the solar array or at night during off peak hours, and then discharge this energy during the day to mitigate peak usage charges. The solar array is designed to offset 50% of the energy utilized by the facility on a yearly basis.
