Formerly known as the Village Branch, this $11 million new library will be nearly triple the size of it’s former facility. The new building will include community and study rooms, a dedicated classroom, makerspace, an outdoor reading area, expanded adult and children’s areas, and a drive-thru window where customers can pick up and return borrowed materials.
HVAC is provided to the building with a packaged VAV system with Hot Water Reheat. The system utilizes Demand Control Ventilation integrated with Ventilation Optimization to maximize indoor air quality while reducing energy consumption.
Electrical systems utilize high-efficiency LED lighting with automatic day lighting and manual dimming controls zoned for local activity control. DMX controlled color changing fixtures and lighting integrated into steps and seat walls accent the main entry canopy and plaza cord reels are recessed into makerspace ceiling and recessed floor boxes elsewhere provide concealed but flexible access to power
coordinated A/V design connections provided for video wall, meeting and activity spaces.
