This net zero achievable college and career readiness facility accommodates 900 students pursuing degrees in Health Sciences, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology and Media Arts Technology. Students are able to earn college credit in these several areas of study at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College and Hazard Community & Technical College.
A classroom located in the mechanical room provides a live learning lab for students. The building has an impressive Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of less than 20 kbtu/sf. The building’s photovoltaic array can generate 30KW of power, which is more than enough to power all of the interior and exterior LED lights 24/7.
