The mechanical design included the addition of two new hot water VAV boxes to accommodate the addition of two new classrooms. New multipurpose rooms and classrooms required existing VAV boxes to be relocated. New air devices and ductwork were designed for the media center.
The electrical design included a full renovation of the reception area, various classroom, and media center. LED light fixture package and a networked, programmable digital lighting control system complete with occupancy sensing, dimming devices were provided to maximize energy savings. Color changing LEDs were designed for the entrance canopy and the FMD classroom to allow for customization based on school events and/or student special needs. The power system design included support for the newly renovated areas. Low voltage systems included a new voice evacuation addressable type fire alarm system, voice/data network enhancements in all instructional areas to provide teachers with update wired and wireless connections as well as network cabling to new LED visual displays on the instructional walls, and an IP based intercom and paging system installed across the entire facility.
