We’re having a lot of fun “building visitors” along Main Street in downtown Louisville. Shrout Tate Wilson provided the mechanical and electrical engineering for the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in the 500 block. This complicated renovation project included a complete interior and exterior rehabilitation of an existing 6-story and extremely narrow, historic building. Inside, the building was transformed to house a Visitors Center with interpretive exhibits, a micro distillery, a gift shop, a “speakeasy” themed event space, and staff offices.
Just two blocks away from Evan Williams, we are helping to re-imagine the 1870’s Fort Nelson Building for Michter’s Distillery. We think that’s worthy of a fine glass of celebration!
This interesting and challenging renovation provides a unique visitor experience complete with a public bar area and tasting area.
