The groundbreaking ceremony for Silver Creek High School took place Friday, August 12. The project will include extensive renovations including new classrooms, new laboratories, a new student union, a new main entrance, an expanded cafeteria and a new auditorium.
“It’s going to be a complete modernization of all of the things were currently offering” Al Eckert, Silver Creek High School Principal.
The first phase of the $100 million project relocates the existing athletic fields while the second phase will focus on the school’s interior rooms.
The entire renovation plan is expected to take about three years with additions to the primary and middle schools included.
